ABSTRACT
A viaduct for combined use of cars and electrical vehicles of the Metro has been constructed on the Park of the Town of Oporto. It is 228 m long and 16 m wide. It is divided into 8 spans and has 7 intermediate piles. The deck is a prestressed concrete, two-cell box. The shape of the viaduct was designed in order to minimize visual impact, specially to the pedestrians using the park. The article describes the main details of the design and construction of this work.
